Dr. Wayne A. Schroeder
Dr. Wayne A. Schroeder is a professor at The Institute of World Politics and teaches on the subject of strategy and International Relations. Dr. Schroeder is also a Nonresident Senior Fellow, Transatlantic Security Initiative, with the Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security at the Atlantic Council. He also teaches as an Adjunct Professor in American Foreign Policy, Global Security, and the Politics of Western Europe at Marymount University. He is also an Adjunct Professor with the Naval War College Fleet Seminar Program. He has had a 40-year career in Washington, D.C. with service in government, industry, public policy, the military, and higher education.
Education- Ph.D. in International Relations from the University of Southern California in 1981.

- B.A. in Political Science from University of Oregon, 1974.
Dr. Schroeder served as Deputy Under Secretary of Defense (Resource Planning/Management) in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense from 2001-2004, where he received the Office of the Secretary of Defense Medal for Exceptional Public Service. Earlier in his career, he served as a Senior Research Analyst with Logicon RDA and was on the Corporate Engineering and Washington Operations staff of Lockheed Martin. He also served as a strategic intelligence officer in the U.S. Army Reserve, achieving the rank of Captain.
